Could we be a match?
It takes a special kind of person to work in customer services at Bupa. Our advisers are the first point of contact for our customers when they need us the most and they have a concern with their health. Our customers are often dealing with stressful situations and they require calm, clear guidance and support. We make sure they get the support they need when it matters most and that's how we make a difference.
You could be great in this role if:
- You genuinely enjoy helping people
- You are empathetic and a good listener
- You're a great communicator - verbally and in writing
- You are comfortable using technology
- You can multi-task (our advisers take notes and operate systems whilst on calls)
- You take pride in your work and in doing the best job you can
- You're adaptable and able to cope with change and a dynamic environment
- You enjoy being part of a helpful and supportive team
- You're reliable, resilient, organised and committed.
Could you see yourself here?
As a working parent, we understand that you have two jobs; one in the office and one at home taking care of your family. That's why we provide flexible working options and plenty of support.
If you've been out of the workforce for a while, don't worry. We can help you build up your confidence and transition into your new role, where you'll find lots of other working parents in the same situation.
Admittedly, our training programme is currently full-time hours (we're working on that) but once you're trained, there are a wide range of part-time and flexible options available to you.
If you're looking to change career direction and you have the personal qualities we're looking for, Bupa can open up a new world of opportunities for you.
Our customer service advisers come from a variety of backgrounds including: retail, personal training, bar work and pub management, and garage mechanics. They all share the same special attributes and love of helping people, so we were able to train them and offer them new career paths.
If you have the right qualities, we can train you and offer you a new career path too.
Our youngest customer service advisers are 18 years old but they have an emotional maturity that sets them apart from their peers. If you have the right qualities, we will train you in the right skills.
Many of our advisers choose to stay in that role and excel. Others take advantage of the opportunity to move into different areas and excel in a different career path. Both options are equally valid.
If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can grow and help people, we'd love to hear from you.
If you already have one or two careers under your belt and are looking for a full or part-time role where you can make a difference, it's worth considering a role as a customer service adviser.
We are looking for people who can bring a wealth of life and varied work experience to the role who enjoy being in an environment that's dynamic and rewarding.
If you're comfortable using technology and you're able to cope with regular change (we're always evolving and continuously improving our policies and processes), this could be a fulfilling opportunity.
